France tests crypto payments in the country's shops: Are we facing a Financial Revolution?

France confirms itself as one of the European countries most inclined to use cryptocurrencies. Despite the various doubts shown by the European Union and the various laws that have been introduced and are planned to regulate cryptocurrencies.

First stepts if France towards crypto

France decided to test the new program launched by Binance, the crypto exchange giant, and Ingenico, a credit card services company, that allows cryptocurrency payments in shops via Binance Pay.

The test will be carried out in two French outlets specifically: the catering store Le Carlie and the retail store Miss Opéra.

Once the pilot is completed other European countries where Binance is regulated: Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Cyprus, Poland, and Sweden, may join the initiative marking a historic financial breakthrough.

In an Interview a few hours ago, Ingenico executive vice president Michel Léger expressed his satisfaction with the agreement with Binance and said:

"As a leading payments ecosystem accelerator, we are excited to partner with up-and-coming brands like Binance to bring cryptocurrency payments to retail for consumers around the world."

Binance Card and Binance Pay head Jonathan Lim also commented, saying:

"One of the major advantages of this partnership is that it offers companies a new approach to the market."

We already have the first rumors and news about the program: it accepts more than 50 cryptocurrencies. At the beginning of the pilot, merchants will be paid in cryptocurrency. But in the second quarter of 2023, a crypto-to-fiat solution is planned to be launched that will allow merchants to receive payments in fiat directly.

Partnesrships of Binance with Mastercard in Brazil

Also recently, Binance entered into a partnership with Mastercard to launch a prepaid crypto card in Brazil, after having already tested and launched it with great success in Argentina last August 2022.
