Bitcoin rate exceeded $30k for the first time since June 2022

On the morning of April 11, the Bitcoin rate surpassed $30k for the first time since June 1, 2022. Within 24 hours, the first   cryptocurrency increased by $2k (7%).

Other leading cryptocurrencies did not increase in value that significantly.

Ethereum (ETH) increased by 3.5% to $1,910, Binance Coin (BNB) increased by 4.6% to $327, Polygon (MATIC) increased by 3.2% to $1.13, Cardano (ADA) rose by 4.7% to $0.40, and Ripple (XRP) increased by 2.7% to $0.51.

Within the sharp rise in cryptocurrency rates, 29,000 trader positions worth a total of $166 million were liquidated on cryptocurrency exchanges over the day. According to Coinglass, 88% of the positions were short, and 12% were long.

$104 million worth of Bitcoin orders and $28.3 million worth of Ethereum orders were affected.

The largest forced position closure occurred on the Huobi exchange in the BTC/USDT pair, amounting to $11 million.
